About David Bray

David’s father used to work at the Royal Academy of Arts. Every now and again he and his brother would get access to the galleries before they opened to the public. These were in the days before CCTV, and the security guards weren’t on duty. They were free to absorb all this art – which they did. Touching the odd Picasso. Licking the odd Warhol. He recommends you do not touch national treasures too much as it can get you in a lot of trouble. Unless you are sure you can get away with it. From this point, David knew he wanted to be an artist. David has been working as an illustrator since his graduation from Central St. Martins, London in 1992 with a degree in Graphic Design. Commercial clients include such brands as Agent Provocateur, Puma, Absolut, MTV, BBC Television, Harvey Nichols, Canon and Vodafone to name but a few. His collaboration with photographer Tim Bret Day for the Harvey Nichols campaign, HN on Earth is in the permanent poster collection at the Louvre, Paris. He has been exhibiting as an artist since 2006, with solo shows in London, Portland and Los Angeles and in group shows in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Asbury Park and beyond.
