Last Thursdays At JGC

What are the Last Thursdays at JG Contemporary?

On the last Thursday of every month we at JG Contemporary keep our doors open late and invite the community for an evening of drinks, art and stimulating conversation, it is an event not to be missed!

The late evenings offer an opportunity for members of the public to view the art in a casual and welcoming environment with their friends, family and the wider community

We understand that being in an empty gallery can sometimes feel overwhelming, so we hope with laughter and drinks the open door will call for a relaxed setting to get a closer look at the gorgeous masterpieces that adorn our walls.

On these ‘Last Thursdays’ we always have a few of the galleries artists, as many as we can get; Matt Small, Fin DAC,Remi Rough, Jake Andrew, Henry Woolway and Tim Bret-Day, are just a few that have made an appearance and gotten to know the all of you. Our artists are the friendliest people you will ever meet and are eager to meet you, have a chat and answer any questions you may have as they stand with us, surrounded by their artwork.

As we get into the swing of things with these evenings we plan to add activities and events such as highlighting an artist and hosting artist talks and maybe even a live drawing event or two!

Our location is easy to get to in the heart of poets corner, the overground, Piccadilly, Central and Elizabeth lines all stop within a short walking distance so no matter where you start the journey from we hope JG Contemporary is where you finish it.

If you love art and want to celebrate this fantastic community, please come down! We can't wait to see you on the next last Thursday of the month, ready to celebrate all things art and have some fun!
