Wax, ink, oil and charcoal on paper
40 x 58 cm
Framed
Immerse yourself in the abstract dynamism of "Revelation and Rejuvenation," an enthralling piece of art by Chris Spring, measuring 40 x 58 cm. This mixed media composition, brought to life on paper through the use of wax, ink, oil, and charcoal, encapsulates the essence of an awakening.
Forged in the fervour of a live drawing session, this artwork captures the raw, spontaneous energy of its creation. The fluidity of the oil, the resistance of the wax, the depth of the charcoal, and the immediacy of the ink converge to fa orm that is both striking and subtle. The interplay of mediums creates a textured, multi-dimensional surface that invites touch and contemplation.
"Revelation and Rejuvenation" is a symphony of contrasts — dark and light, stillness and movement, clarity and mystery. Its creation from a life drawing session adds an intimate authenticity, with each stroke bearing witness to the artist's direct engagement with the model, the moment, and the media.
This artwork is not just seen; it is felt. It serves as a bridge between the viewer and the visceral act of creation, offering a sense of participation in the artistic process. It is a celebration of the human form, movement, and the transformative power of art.
As a standout piece, "Revelation and Rejuvenation" is ideal for collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate the convergence of life drawing's immediacy and the complex layers that only mixed media can provide.
